Hi, I’m Preetham!

I am deeply passionate about discovering and supporting enterprising individuals on their journey to creating impactful solutions that benefit society and economies. My fascination with venture capital stems from a firm belief in the transformational power of private capital—especially in developing markets—where access to funding can unlock groundbreaking innovation.

With a diverse academic and professional background spanning engineering, law, and business, I have gained unique perspectives on startups, technology, and investment strategies. Originally from India and now based in the UK, I have had the privilege of meeting and working closely with early-stage founders, gaining firsthand insight into startup dynamics, challenges, and growth strategies. This experience fuels my transition into venture capital, where I aspire to identify, support, and scale promising ventures.

Beyond investing, I have also been a founder myself. I co-founded a social-impact startup focused on skilling blue-collar mobile repair technicians across Asia and Africa. The startup, inspired by the Right to Repair movement, addressed a critical “white space” in the market—while legislation was pushing manufacturers to make spare parts and repair manuals accessible, the lack of skilled technicians remained a bottleneck.

Our solution leveraged technology to deliver remote training to non-college-educated youth, opening doors to employment in the growing smartphone repair, recommerce, and e-waste recycling industries i.e. the 3R’s (Repair, Recommerce and Recycling). The startup was incubated at IIM Calcutta’s Innovation Park (India) and secured a seed grant from the Government of India. While I now serve in a non-executive role, the venture continues to grow.

Through VC Odyssey, I aim to analyze emerging industries, spot investment trends, and uncover future opportunities for ambitious and driven individuals. My mission is to make venture capital knowledge and insights more accessible and empower founders to build impactful businesses.
